A little more info to help with your decision…

I’d like to just generally know more about videography for our wedding. Why have a wedding film?

Most couples mention it’s their video they pull out and watch on a rainy day. Video brings an emotion that photo simply can’t.

 

What package should we book?

We generally suggest we start shooting 1.5 – 2 hours prior to the ceremony and stay to capture at-least 20 minutes of dance floor. That way the whole day is comprehensively captured. 8 hours is generally the sweet spot.

 

What’s the go with drone footage? Looks amazing but some videographers won’t do it because of the drone laws. 

Drone laws allow videographers with licences (this includes us) to fly within permitted areas. Anything close to a major hub (i.e. the CBD) or within 5km of a major airport is a no go. Other restrictions include flying at night or over crowded areas. We use the drone discretely so chances are you won’t notice it on the day.

 

We already paid a lot for a photography… it will really blow the budget for videography. Is it worth it?

Wedding videos are awesome and we haven’t had a couple that have regretted their decision, most actually say it’s their best investment. That being said, wedding bills can start to rack up so that’s a decision you and your partner need to make together. Best to check out our portfolio which will make your decision a little easier.

 

Can we have a Coldplay song for our wedding video? How can we choose music?

Copyright law will not allow you to use a Coldplay track without royalty fees which for an artist of that calibre, would be in the hundreds of thousands. A legal way around this is to have your video password protected and hidden from public view and search engines. To operate this way we pay an annual fee to APRA for a ‘Domestic Use Video Licence’ which covers weddings. We give you the option to select up to three songs or we can select these for you. You can still share your video with family and friends.

 

Can I add more hours to our package?

Certainly, you can upgrade your package / add hours at any time prior to the wedding.

 

Where are you based? Do you charge for travel?

We’re based in Sydney, however we document weddings globally. Travel fees apply for anything outside of the Sydney metro area.

 

When will we receive our photos/video?

Our turnaround is 6-8 weeks. To give you an idea of what’s included post wedding, we spend anywhere from 20-40 hours in the editing suite crafting your photos/video. We’ll share a bunch of preview images with you the week after your wedding so you have something to view.

 

How do we confirm our booking?

To confirm the date, we require a 20% non-refundable deposit. The remainder is due two weeks prior to the wedding.

 

We just went through a pandemic, what happens if we need to move our date?

There is no limit on the amount of times you may wish to move your date. Best to check in with us first to ensure we have your new date available.

 

What information do you need from us?

Six weeks out we’ll send you an email asking you to fill out a short questionnaire which will give us some essential information before we arrive. At that time we’ll offer to grab a coffee or jump on a call.
